Heart for Monroe

A seed was planted on the mission field in the Dominican Republic in 2014. Four months later, and over 1,300 miles away, that seed sprouted into Heart for Monroe.

Heart for Monroe is a nonprofit organization that exists to unite and mobilize churches, community organizations, ministries, businesses, and individuals to address homelessness, hunger, education, and build relationships in our community.

We are called to be missionaries right where we are. Jesus tells his disciples that hungry souls are abundantly available everywhere, and the laborers are few. For us, it’s all about loving God, loving people, and coming together to serve as one.

Heart for Monroe has grown into a network of more than 120 churches and 40 plus nonprofits across Union County. This movement has even taken roots in Guymon, Oklahoma and New Iberia, Louisiana.

Through a series of mission opportunities, events, and programs – we will change people’s lives and continue to have a positive impact in our community.

Let’s work together with one heart and one mission.
